Building the Future of Digital Twin Technology
The iTwin Activate program fosters collaboration between Bentley and early-stage start-ups in the infrastructure software industry. The program helps the start-ups build on Bentley’s digital twin platform technology, shares our industry expertise, and supports their efforts with funding out of Bentley’s iTwin Ventures fund.

What the Program Offers
Build with Bentley: Participants in the program will build a project incorporating Bentley technology with the support of Bentley technical experts and developers to accelerate their product roadmap.
Market expertise: Work with Bentley leaders and other industry experts to help shape your go-to-market plans, gain insight into the infrastructure industry, and understand the venture fundraising process.
A trusted name: Build with trusted technology and work with us to gain the confidence of shared clients.
Connect with our community: Connect to our client and partner ecosystem to build relationships with industry leaders and get feedback from the infrastructure community.
Accelerate your growth: Participants in the program will receive an investment from Bentley to cover the costs of their participation in the program in the form of a SAFE note.
Who we’re Looking for
Early-stage start-up who are serving the infrastructure industry with software solutions
The iTwin Activate Program is for start-ups seeking venture funding who are pre-seed or early seed-stage. The start-up should be primarily a software-focused business, focused on creating solutions for professionals in the infrastructure industry.
iTwin Activate II: Internet of Things for the Infrastructure Industry – Application Window Closed
Our current iTwin Activate cohort is focused on start-ups creating infrastructure IoT solutions. We are open to start-ups working in all areas of the infrastructure industry, especially in the transportation, energy, water, and construction sectors.
We welcome start-ups to propose their vision for projects that can be built upon or integrate with our technology. Two categories of problems that we have a particular focus on are:
Sensor Analytics: predictive analytics and industry-specific insights
We are excited to help start-ups create solutions to produce predictive analytics or derive insights from sensor data hosted within our iTwin data ecosystem.
Sensor Data Ingestion: Novel sensors or sensing technologies
We’re excited to work with start-ups developing new sensor technologies, communications methods, or packaging that provides significant competitive differentiation in an industry or application that historically has not been commercially feasible. We see great value in assisting these start-ups in bringing their data into infrastructure digital twins via our sensor data service.
